Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign

DELAWARE, Oh., August 15, 2011 – Delaware County law enforcement leaders and highway safety advocates will kick off “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” the national impaired driving crackdown mobilization, with a ceremony.

Last year, five persons died in highway crashes in Delaware County blamed on drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs. More than 300 drivers have been arrested for OVI along U.S. 23 in southern Delaware County over the last 12 months.
Speakers at the kickoff ceremony will include Delaware County Prosecutor Carol O’Brien, Delaware City Prosecutor Mark Corroto, Delaware County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy John Petrozzi, and Delaware Highway Patrol Post Commander Lt. Kevin Knapp.
Numerous uniformed representatives of law enforcement and other safety forces also will be in attendance.
