Christmas on the Square

Santa comes to Sunbury on Saturday, December 4th for the 29th annual Sunbury/Big Walnut Chamber of Commerce Christmas on the Square.

The event kicks off with a breakfast with Santa from 9am to 11am at the Sunbury United Methodist Church located at 100 West Cherry Street.

A 5K run/walk/crawl Run Over Cancer "ROC On!" will begin at 2pm and will include some temporary street restrictions.  Register for the race here!

The Christmas parade will begin at 4pm with parade line-up beginning at 3:30pm at the Fairland Plaza (Sunbury Urgent Care Lot).  Pre-registration form is required.  Grand Marshall this year will be Paul "Doc" Milem who was a local dentist and portrayed our Greek St. Nicholas for many years!

Parade Route will cause temporary street closures! 

A tree lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30pm at the north end of the town square 
 
Feast of St. Nicholas and Craft Sale is from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
 
Other activities will include photos with Santa, musical performances, Christmas tree sale, carriage rides, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts activities, crafts for children, and live animal encounters.
